✰ [Wash-Off Mask Review] PUREDERM ♥ Tomato Yogurt Pack Wash-Off Mask (Mask 1 of 4)✰

Today I'll be reviewing a wash-off mask provided to me from Skin18 for my honest review! This one is the Tomato Yogurt Pack (토마토 요구르트팩) from the brand PUREDERM and I'm so excited to use this since tomato extracts really help with skin whitening and brightening. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ


I've reviewed many masks from Skin18 in the past, but for those who haven't read any of my sheet mask reviews from Skin18 or don't know what Skin18 is, it's an online beauty website selling a large variety of Asian skincare products and they also provide some subscription boxes!                                                 ✰ Description of the Product ✰

This wash-off mask from the brand PUREDERM is one of eight packs, which also include a variety of different types, including the Grape Yogurt Pack, Hydro Soothing Aloe Pack, Kiwi Yogurt Pack, Mango Yogurt Pack, Moisturizing Cucumber Pack, Strawberry Yogurt Pack, and Vitalizing Green Tea Pack! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

The mask pack is in a small package and the packaging is very cute and simple which has a tomato theme on the edges. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ The front states Tomato Yogurt Pack in English, Korean, and Japanese, which I thought was interesting since I don't usually see Japanese translations on Korean products. There's a cute little tomato in the middle and the bottom of the pack states that the product contains collagen, vitamin E, tomato extract, and yogurt extract. It can be used for all skin types as well! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

The back of the package states the effects, how to use, cautions, and ingredients in both Korean and English! There is 10ml of product in the package and it is made in Korea. ⋆

                                            ✰ What is This Product Meant For? ✰

This products contains a variety of ingredients that work on different parts of your skin, the main two ingredients being yogurt extract and tomato extract. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The yogurt extract, as stated on the package, leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed. The Skin18 website also states that the yogurt extract is used to de-stress your skin and leave your skin feeling smooth as well! Yogurt is an ingredient mainly used for it's anti-aging properties, which has the ability to reduce fine lines and prevent wrinkle formation as well as getting rid of dead skin cells and tighten pores. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ The tomato extract is used as a skin purifier and oil controlling. ⋆

                                                           ✰ How to Use ✰

To use this product, clean your face with cleanser first and then use toner. Open the package carefully and spread the mask pack around your face evenly, massaging your skin at the same time! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ Apply a thick layer to your skin, you may use the whole package if you want or use half of it and save the rest of the half for next time. The package recommends to leave the product on your skin for 5-10 minutes, but I would leave it on for at least 15~20 minutes to allow the mask to absorb into your skin and dry out. ♥ Once you're ready to wash the mask off, use warm water to gently wash the mask off and be sure to massage your face again while washing it off! ⋆


                                                           ✰ Ingredients ✰

The main ingredients for this wash-off mask are collagen, vitamin E, tomato extract, and yogurt extract, which provides your skin with different effects! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ Some ingredients in this mask pack that I tend to stay away from is mineral oil, dimethicone, two different parabens, and coloring. If the mask pack contained maybe one or two of these ingredients, then I generally wouldn't mind using it, but this one contains quite a bit of ingredients that I don't prefer using. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ Unfortunately, I couldn't find an ingredients list of this tomato yogurt pack on cosdna.com to check the safety levels of the rest of the ingredients, but already judging from seeing the list of ingredients, this is probably a mask pack I would use only if I didn't have any other sheet masks or packs to use. ⋆


                                                           ✰ My Review ✰

Aside from the few ingredients that I disliked and try to stay away from, this tomato yogurt mask worked really well for me! It was easy to apply and massage onto my face and it brightened my skin after washing it off. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The brightening was temporary and didn't last very long, but my skin felt extremely soft and smooth, I couldn't stop touching it! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ I thought the pack was meant for one time use, so I tried to slather all of the product onto my face even though it was a lot, but after reading the description on Skin18.com, it says that it can be 1-2 times use, which would have been better for me to do. 

The color of the mask pack was like a light orange-red color and has little red specks. The product was easy to massage onto the skin, but took me a while to try to wash it all off. The package recommends to use it for 5-10 minutes, but I left it on for about 20 minutes. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ If I get a chance to use this again, next time I will leave it on for the recommended time on the package and see if it still takes a while to wash off! I think my mask took a while to wash off because it was starting to dry and absorb into my skin.

Here is the product on my face! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ I never used a mask pack like this before where you massage it onto your face, so this was a fun experience to try since I'm more used to using sheet masks. ♥ I also didn't get any break-outs or irritations from this pack, which is a plus. I expected this mask to smell a little bit like tomatoes, but it had a very sweet scent, which I enjoyed, and reminded me of the scent of those peach candy rings if you've ever tried those! ⋆

Pros

💕 Instantly (but temporarily) brightened skin
💕 Skin felt really soft and smooth!
💕 Cute small package, perfect to bring on trips
💕 Can be used 1-2 times
💕 Sweet scent that could be a little too strong to those irritated to fragrance

Cons

💕 Contains harmful ingredients such as mineral oil, dimethicone, parabens, coloring
💕 Took a while to wash the mask off (about ~5 minutes)

                                             ✰ Would I Recommend and Repurchase? ✰

I honestly liked the effects of the mask, but not so much the ingredients. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ I loved how the mask brightened my skin and left it feeling soft and smooth, but some of the harmful ingredients added weren't something I was a fan of. ㅠ.ㅠ I would recommend this mask pack to anyone looking for product that gives instant, but temporary, brightening, and soft and smooth skin, but doesn't mind the ingredients added to the list! If you do care about certain ingredients that you put on your skin, this may not be the best mask pack to try out. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ I enjoyed trying this mask out, but I probably wouldn't purchase this if I had the chance, I would try to find a nice mask pack that has the same benefits and effects, but with less harmful ingredients!⋆
