✰ [Sheet Mask Review] LUKE ♥ Collagen Essence Mask (Mask 3 of 4) ✰

I have another fun sheet mask review for everyone today! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ Today I will be reviewing the Collagen Essence Mask (콜라겐 에센스 마스크) from the brand LUKE (루크) and this sheet mask was sent to me from Skin18 for an honest review! I am always on the search for beauty products and sheet masks that allow me to have more youthful-looking skin while also keeping my skin looking bright and feeling soft!~ ♡


I've reviewed many masks from Skin18 in the past, but for those who haven't read any of my sheet mask reviews from Skin18 or don't know what Skin18 is, it's an online beauty website selling a large variety of Asian skincare products and they also provide some subscription boxes!                                                    ✰ Description of the Product ✰

The Essence Mask line comes with three different mask types, which targets different parts of the skin that you wish to improve. I used the collagen mask, which will be reviewed today and this mask claims to diminish wrinkles. There is also a Green Tea Essence Mask that targets age spots and lines and the last mask being a Snail Essence Mask, which claims to have a whitening effect for your skin. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

The front of the package has a really cute illustration of a doll, which is the same cute doll that is on a lot of LUKE's other products, such as the nose patches! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ It states on the bottom that there is 21 g of product in it and is good for 1 treatment. The text in Korean says: 콜라겐 (Collagen), 프로비타민B5 (Pro Vitamin B5), 달난초추출물 함유 (Contains Moon Orchid Extract).

I apologize for bad lighting and glare in the photo! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ The back of the package has text in both Korean and English and there is a nice illustration on the top that shows the steps on how to use the sheet mask. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ There is also information on the ingredients, how to use the sheet mask, and cautions. 

On the top of the back package it says: 피부의 탄력과 보습이 균형 맞춰진 건강하고 활력 있는 피부, which means "It balances skin's elasticity and moisture to make healthy and lively skin"  ⋆


                                               ✰ What is This Product Meant For? ✰

According to the Skin18 website, it states that this mask is meant to diminish wrinkles by erasing fine lines, supply concentrated nutrition intensively, and revitalize and moisturize your skin. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ Since the main ingredient for this sheet mask is collagen, Skin18 also included some information about the collagen in our skin and the ingredients that additionally help with collagen sheet masks! Here it is the information stated below (you can also take a look at this sheet mask yourself here!):  

Collagen contains 70% of the protein that creates skin. About a quarter of your body's total protein content is collagen. Collagen masks potentially diminish wrinkles by erasing fine lines. Collagen masks hydrate the skin. While collagen is working to generate a supple texture, added ingredients in the collagen masks also moisturize the target skin. These ingredients are sorbitol, aloe vera extracts, and natural oils like jojoba, olive and rose oils.

The Skin18 website also lists some great features of these essence masks that are not stated on the package itself. Here it is listed for you to see, taken directly from the Skin18 website:

                                                                ✰ How to Use ✰

The package recommends to apply a moisturizer after cleansing your face prior to wearing the sheet mask, but I didn't do that since I wanted to apply the rest of my skincare after taking the sheet mask off. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ What I did first was just cleanse my face, then apply the sheet mask on my skin, making sure to smooth out any wrinkles. The packaging recommends leaving the sheet mask on for about 20-30 minutes, but you can leave it on for longer if you wish (I did!). After removing the mask, I folded the mask in half and left it on my neck for about 5 minutes since there was still some essence left on the mask. ♥ 

It's important to take good care of the skin on your neck just as well as the skin on your face! You don't want your neck to look like it aged faster than your face. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ

Don't forget about the leftover essence! There was still a lot of essence left over, so I applied 80% of it on my face and neck, being sure to pat it into my skin so that it can absorb thoroughly. I also give my skin a mini face massage as well to get the blood to circulate! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The essence shouldn't take too long to absorb, just keep patting your skin. If you still have more essence leftover, apply it to your arms and legs, then finish off with the rest of your skincare. ⋆

                                                                ✰ Ingredients ✰

This sheet mask includes a lot of extracts which is really nice and there might be some ingredients included that people have certain irritations to, such as butylene glycol or fragrance, so please be careful before putting the sheet mask on your skin! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ I'm glad this mask doesn't contain any harmful ingredients, such as parabens, so that is a big plus for me! ♥ Unfortunately, I was unable to find this sheet mask on cosdna.com to check the ingredient's safety levels, but judging from the ingredients list provided, I don't see any kind of ingredient that stands out as harmful. I am not the best at identifying harmful ingredients since I only know very few (mineral oil, parabens), but as always, please check the list for yourself and see if there are any ingredients that you might react to! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ


                                                              ✰ My Review ✰

This was a really nice mask to use and my face felt really moisturized and 'bouncy'! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ After using the mask, my face felt like it had the 'elastic' feature to it (skin looks more healthy) so it was fun to poke my cheek ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ I didn't notice any notable differences in a decrease of fine lines or wrinkles, probably because the only fine lines that I have are small creases near my mouth from smiling. I also love how moisturized, hydrated, and healthy my skin looked after using the mask, this moisturizing effect lasted until the next day! ♥

The mask was neatly wrapped up like this and wasn't too difficult to unfold. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The sheet mask didn't have a strong scent to it, but it had a light fresh scent that I love! There was also a lot of left over essence in the package, so I had a lot of extra essence to pat onto my neck, arms, and legs. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

The fit of the mask was comfortable and I didn't have to cut any parts of the mask to fit my face. I kept the mask on for about 30-40 minutes and after taking the mask off, I gave my neck a little treatment too by folding the mask in half and keeping it on my neck for around 5 minutes. ♥

I would recommend and purchase this sheet mask for myself in the future! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ This was such a nice, moisturizing sheet mask to use, it would be good to use this on days when your skin needs a 'pick-me-up'. This mask is great for those looking for a sheet mask that moisturizes and hydrates the skin, as well as give it an elastic look! ♥ I don't think this mask would diminish fine lines the first time you use it, but it's possible that it might have an effect if you use this mask often! ⋆
