✰ [Subscription Box] TofuCrate unboxing! (May 2016 box)✰

Hi ♡ Today I'll be unboxing my first subscription package from TofuCrate! I purchased this box for May. This subscription box is beauty-based and what's nice about this subscription box is they cater to your skin type and creates your box based on the items you prefer to receive! You will have to take a short questionnaire so that they have an idea on the products you like. I love how this is done so that I wouldn't get any products that wouldn't be useful for me.

The crate size that I bought was the Senior Crate, which is the largest box available, and the subscription service also has a Mini Crate and Junior Crate. The Senior Crate is originally supposed to be $27 plus $7 shipping for one month, but I believe I paid a total of $24 because I used a discount code from a person that I followed on Instagram! Although the items in the crate were very much worth a lot more than $34 (original price including shipping), I probably wouldn't pay that much for the crate if I didn't have the discount code. It's just a little too much for me to be spending on. It was really fun discovering new products that I could use and trying out different things I wouldn't consider purchasing. I would definitely purchase this crate again if I was provided another discount code!

Opening the package ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

I love how the top of the box has handwritten Hellos in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and English! It's a nice cute touch to the box. It also has the TofuCrate sticker below.

Each package comes with a cute greeting card and the website where you can order your crate for the next month!

This card lists all of the products included in the package, the brand it is made from, a short description of each product and/or how to use it, and the price it's listed as. I'll include the description written by TofuCrate in the blog so you can get an idea on the product if you're not familiar with it. ♥

The package comes with a ton of confetti for decoration! This would be cute to reuse for future photos.

The first product that I received was the Wrinkle Eye Cream Plus+ from the brand The Skin House, with the stated price on the card at $25.90. If I were to purchase any products, I usually buy them from eBay from authentic sellers and the price for this eye cream on eBay is listed for ~$7.60. I'm assuming the prices that TofuCrate lists are the prices the products are retailed at in the actual store they came from.

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
One of our personal favorites here at TofuCrate! This highly concentrated eye cream contains collagen, adenosine, snail mucin and amino acids to rejuvenate the eye area. Simply apply day and night after cleanser and toner.
I'm actually really happy to receive this eye cream, as I'm still on the search for an eye cream that will help with my fine lines. So far I've had no luck, so hopefully this will work out. ♡ This product will be posted on my blog sometime in the future, so I'll update on how it works out! I probably won't use this any time soon though, since I still have to finish another eye cream that I'm using.

The next product that I received was this Bouncing Petit BB Cream from brand Holika Holika! I've always wanted to try this BB cream out since a while ago, but never got a chance to purchase it so I was super happy to see this in my box. ♡ I also heard great reviews on this BB cream so I'll be sure to post a review on this in the future and see how it works out for me. The card states that this BB cream is listed for $9 and on eBay, this product can be purchased for ~$5.85, so it's really affordable for those who want to use this BB cream.

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
The renewed version of Holika Holika's classic Petit BB Cream is here! This one creates a "bouncing" effect to the skin, and provides lightweight yet buildable, moisturizing coverage perfect for the upcoming summer weather. Bonus- it has SPF 30++!
It's perfect timing that I got this too, since I was running out of my other BB creams and loving how it comes with SPF too! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

The third item that I received from this package was the Jeju Volcanic Scoria Hand Cream from the brand 백옥생 (it's written in Korean on the card, but translated to romanization is Baekoksaeng). I've never see this product before and it looks really interesting to try! I'm always looking for hand creams that smell amazing and doesn't make my hands sticky after applying.

Without even opening the cap, I can already smell a nice, relaxing aroma coming from the bottle. The scent is already making me excited to use it. ♥ The price listed on the card is $5.50 so this hand cream is really affordable. After doing more research, I found that this brand specializes in traditional Korean herbal medicine cosmetics, therefore providing an abundant amount of moisture to your skin and allowing your skin to become more healthy.

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
Filled with volcanic scoria from Jeju, this hand cream restores balance and moisture in dry hands.
Perfect hand cream for anyone with dry hands and I believe this cream is okay to use for all skin types.

The next item that I got was this Moisture Lotus HanBang Mask from the brand Illi (일리). I've never used a sheet mask from this brand before and I'm always excited to use new sheet masks! Since this mask's main feature is moisture, it will probably work really well for my dry face. I'm glad this box included at least one sheet mask. The price stated on the card is $3.

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
This mask is filled with lotus and Korean HanBang to hydrate the skin. Simply apply to face after toner for 15 minutes.

The next item that I received was this Gold EFG Eye Patch from the brand Petitfee. This was also a product that I'm really happy with and glad it was included in my box because I'm a big fan of eye patches. I've recently started loving hydrogel eye patches ever since I used one from the brand LUKE that I reviewed previously here. I've never tried these eye patches before, but have heard great reviews on it from other users, so I'm excited to try this out really soon!

The price stated on the card is $21 and this product comes with 60 patches. The packaging for this product is really cute and simple. ♥

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
These hydrogel eye patches are filled with pure gold to help nourish skin and help wrinkles. After cleansing and toner, apply to under eyes for 20-30 minutes. Comes with 60 patches.
So far this box has been filled with amazing products and are perfect for me to use. I really love how this subscription service actually creates the box towards products that would be of use for the customer! I'm always happy to get eye products since my eye area is the part where I want to take good care of the most.

The next product that I received was this Pig-Nose Clear Blackhead 3-Step Kit from the brand Holika Holika. I've always seen people raving on this nose kit and heard that it worked really well for them, so I can't wait to give it a try. I've only tried nose masks that don't require more than one step, so this will be interesting. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The price stated on the card is $3!

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
This 3-step kit is perfect for blackhead control! After cleansing, apply step 1 onto your nose for 10 minutes to open the pores. Then, wipe off your nose and wet your nose with water, and apply step 2 for 10-15 minutes, before slowly peeling it off. Apply step 3 to the nose for 10-15 minutes to soothe the pores.
As I have mentioned before in my previous nose mask review, I don't really have large pores on my nose or blackheads, so if I test this out, I will probably allow my mom to use it since she will find more use for it!

The second to last item that I received in this package is this Vitamin Special Care Modeling Pack from the brand Inner Kallia. This product is really interesting, I've never tried a modeling mask pack before and the TofuCrate card states that it's okay to mask the eye and mouth area too. The package feels like there is sand inside and this mask is for you to mix yourself. I usually like to do things while masking, like homework, blogging, or watching videos, but I'll probably have to have a real relaxing night to use this so that I can cover my mouth and eyes too. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The price that the card states is $5.

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
This Vitamin Modeling Mask pack renews the skin. Modeling masks are perfect as they keep the essence of a mask from evaporating. Simply mix with water until you reach a thick yogurt consistency and apply to the face for 15-20 minutes before peeling off. Don't be scared to mask your eyes and mouth too!
I'm really glad the TofuCrate card has a description on how to use the mask or else I wouldn't have been able to figure out what to do and risk ruining the product!

My favorite product included in this box!! This is the Doraemon Cushion Blusher in the color CR01 from the brand A'Pieu. This product should look familiar to some people since I've seen some people review the Doraemon cushion. Fun fact: This yellow-looking Doraemon is actually his sister named Dorami. ♡

This cushion blusher was a special edition for the TofuCrate May box. I've always wanted a cushion blusher so I was really happy this was included in the May box! This was already included in the first box that I've received from TofuCrate, so I assume TofuCrate will continue to provide amazing products for their customers in the future boxes! The card states that this cushion is $11.25.

The cushion is a small compact size so it would be perfect to bring along anywhere. I'll definitely do a review and swatch of this color really soon, so please look forward to it!

Stated on the TofuCrate card:
This natural cushion blusher delivers a glow from within coral blush! Simply pat on the blush with the puff included for a beautiful tint. Refillable, and comes in adorable Doraemon packaging.
I still can't get over my excitement in receiving this cushion!! ♡

This was the last product in the box, but the package also came with lots of samples!

I was surprised to discover samples in the package, even though it already came with a ton of other amazing products! I haven't used any of the products before, so it will be fun to try and maybe review in future posts. The samples that I got were Eco Science Wrinkle Spot Essence and Eco Science Recover Spot Essence (Innisfree), Urban Eco Harakeke Firming Seed Cream (The Saem), Intense Care Dual Effect Sleeping Pack (Tony Moly), BCDation+ in color 03 웜베이지 (03 Warm Beige) (Tony Moly), and I think the 3CE product is concealer in color #02. Unfortunately for the 3CE sample, there isn't any other information given on the container except the bottom says #02. For the Tony Moly BCDation+, 03 Warm Beige is the darkest color in the line and my shade is usually 01 or the lightest color, so I'll probably hand this over to my mom since her tone is closer to this.

Overall, I'm really satisfied with the TofuCrate subscription service and I'm happy with all of the products included! I would love to purchase another month of this subscription service, but trying to save some money for now and maybe I'll wait for another discount coupon code ㅠ.ㅠ Thank you for an amazing box TofuCrate, keep working hard and you will see me again for another future purchase! As always, I will post a review on my blog on all of the products mentioned in the future, so please look forward to it.

  1. That is one of the best Korean beauty boxes I've seen, I definitely want to order one.

The Inner Kallia modeling pack is great, I have ordered those many times from eBay. Don't add too much water because the paste needs to be really thick. After about 20 minutes it will turn to rubber on your face and you can peel it off easily. It compresses any fine lines you might have and is sort of like a temporary face lift.

    Enjoy!
