✰ CANMAKE ♥ Transparent Finish Powder ([PL] Pearl Lavender) Review ✰

I've started to become more interested in Japanese beauty products since the packaging always draws me in and I always seeing the brand Canmake on my social media! ♡ I don't usually review Japanese makeup, but I've always wanted to try Canmake products and I went on a large Canmake haul a while ago, so I have a lot of Canmake reviews coming soon. For this post, I will be reviewing the Transparent Finish Powder in the color [PL] Pearl Lavender. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

                                                  ✰ Description of the Product ✰

The Transparent Finish Powder comes in three colors, one being [PN] Pearl Natural which makes the skin look soft and translucent, the second being [PP] Pearl Pink which gives your skin a rosy-look and bright, peach-color skin, and the one I will be reviewing, [PL] Pearl Lavender, which is great for dull skin. 

The packaging is in a clear box with information about the product all over it. Unfortunately, I cannot read Japanese, so I'm not sure what it says!

The back of the packaging states information about this product and luckily the Canmake website gives us some information in English! I'm not sure if all of the information on the website states everything on the package, so I apologize if I left anything out! Here are the details on this powder, as stated from their website:

For translucent skin with a soft luster like an exquisite pearl, giving it the appearance of being swathed in light. A face powder ideal for finishing your foundation or touching up your make-up. Pressed format makes it hand to carry in your purse.

This face powder also contains SPF 41 PA++ (for those who do not know what PA is, it's a Japanese and Korean rating system which indicates that the more plus (+) signs after the PA, the higher the level of UVA protection it provides.)

A light, fine powder that's smooth as silk, with a pure luster♥
♥What's the secret?♥
(1) Uses both large and small powder particles, eliminating the gaps between particles and avoiding an obviously powdery appearance.
(2) Powder particles are coated with an oil-based ingredient, preventing them from sticking to each other and maintaining the fine texture.
(3) The ingredients are mixed together at high-speed in three stages, creating a silky, fine-textured powder.
(4) This is then pressed more gently than conventional powders, ensuring that it retains its fine texture and soft feel on your skin.
(5) Contains four shades of fine pearl particles, for an exquisitely sophisticated sheen! For lustrous skin swathed in light, just like a pearl ♥

There's some information on the sides of the package as well, one side probably being a caution explanation. The top of the package has the color of the powder and I love how the overall packaging is clear so you can see the product underneath! ♡

This compact case feels like a plastic case and it's in a nice light pink color. The design on the top part of the case gives it a girly look and overall it looks very cute!~ When you open the case, the puff sponge is on top of a plastic sheet that you have to remove before using the actual product and comes with a handy mirror, so you can bring this with you anywhere. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The puff sponge feels very soft and comfortable to hold! It's a decent puff to use, but I've read other reviews that people like to use a brush to apply the powder as opposed to the puff.

The powder is a soft lavender color and if you look closely, you can actually see small gold flakes in it! The powder is very compact so it won't break apart of you continuously use it with your brush or puff.


                                              ✰ What is This Product Meant For? ✰

The purple pearl particles are meant to banish dullness, so it enhances the translucence of your skin. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ It is a lavender color that also contains gold pearl, which will blend well with your skin. The Canmake website states that this powder is formulated to prevent shine, dullness, or make-up run due to dryness.

Contains shine-inhibiting powder. Absorbs sebum to prevent shine, stickiness, and make-up run.

The overall effect of this powder is to brighten dull areas on your skin after you apply foundation or to touch up your make-up! 


                                                              ✰ How to Use ✰

To use this powder, use the puff sponge included (some people prefer using their own powder brush) and swipe some of the product on the puff. Gently pat the powder onto your skin all over your face or on areas that you wish you brighten more, such as just the cheeks or the forehead. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ I recommend to apply a thin layer of powder on the skin so that the end result doesn't look 'cakey' or very matte. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ You may use this powder after applying your foundation or to touch up your makeup throughout the day.


                                                               ✰ Ingredients ✰

There are lots of ingredients added to this powder which prevents your skin from drying and provides moisture. As stated from the Canmake website:

Contains 11 types of beauty ingredients to prevent skin dryness and chapping 

Beautifying and moisturizing agents ● aloe vera leaf extract, rosemary leaf extract, chamomile flower extract, lemon extract, hydrolyzed conchiolin (pearl protein extract) 

Skin-toning agents ● horse chestnut extract, perilla leaf extract 

Emollient agents ● squalane, olive oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil 

This powder also contains an additive-free formulation that has a lot of infused natural mineral ingredients, so this is a big plus for me. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ The Canmake website includes that this powder can be washed off with your usual facial wash.

                                                               ✰ My Review ✰

Here is a swipe of the powder! It's a light lavender color and appears on the skin like a translucent color. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

My favorite thing about this compact is the packaging! I really love how it has a princessy style to it and it just makes a really cute addition on my table. ♡ The puff that it comes with is really soft and it doesn't take a lot of pressure to get the powder product on the puff sponge. The application for this powder was really easy to use and I noticed that the powder looks nice if a thin layer or 'one coat' is applied, otherwise it will look cakey on your skin. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ The powder finish gives your face a matte look, so be sure to skip using a powder if you're aiming for a dewy look that day! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ After applying the powder on my face, my skin definitely looked a lot brighter and even a bit whiter, so be careful not to over-do the powder if you have slightly dark skin, or else your face won't match your neck and the rest of your body. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ Overall, this is an amazing powder and I especially love how it doesn't contain fragrance, alcohol, and surfactant.

                                              ✰ Would I Recommend and Repurchase? ✰

Yes! I love this product and I would recommend and repurchase it in the future! Instead of repurchasing this color, I would try out the other colors too, such as the [PN] Pearl Natural or the [PP] Pearl Pink, since the outcome will probably be amazing. ♡ Although I do recommend this powder, it seems like it would suit people with lighter skin tones a bit better, since I noticed that it did make my skin look a little whiter and if I applied too much, it got to the point where it noticably didn't match the skin tone on my neck. Canmake products are extremely affordable, so you can purchase cute makeup products for a really good price! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ I bought this powder for $13.25 on Amazon and I'm sure if you look on eBay or Amazon, the powders are around this price!
