✰ Holika Holika ♥ ALOE 99% Soothing Gel Review ✰

I went to H-Mart with my mom last week and found this ALOE 99% Soothing Gel in the beauty section! I never used a product with aloe vera before, but I've heard that it's a great moisturizer for the skin. I thought the packaging looked very cute too, so I thought it would be nice to give it a try! ♡

                                                 ✰ Description of the Product ✰

The aloe gel that I bought is from the brand Holika Holika (홀리카 홀리카) and it's called ALOE 99% Soothing Gel. I bought this for $9.99, so the price is very affordable and around the same price as other online shops. Each package comes with 250 ml of product and is made in Korea!

This image of the ALOE 99% Soothing Gel states that this gel is great for soothing dry or irritated skin (such as sunburns) while also providing moisture. It's not a sticky gel so it can be absorbed easily into the skin without feeling uncomfortable. 

The front of the bottle allows you to clearly see how much product you have left! It also has some kind of award sticker on the front and on the bottom it lists three effects that this gel does for the skin, which is soothing, moisturizing, and skin relaxation.

The bottle is a very simple green packaging in the shape of a real aloe leaf, so I thought this look made it cute and unique! ♥ The back has a sticker with information on it such as directions on how to use the product, cautions, and ingredients. It's nice that the whole backside is all in English. I love how the sticker reflects an aloe leaf with water drops on it when seen on the front side. ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ

There is also an expiration date printed on the back and my bottle expires on April 18, 2019 so I have a lot of time left to use this!

I imagined the whole bottle to be curved like the front, but it's nice that the back is flat so that it's able to lie down if needed. 

There is a seal on the bottom of the lid that says 개봉 후 교환 및 환불이 불가, which just means after the seal has been opened, the product cannot be refunded or exchanged. The seal lets me know that the product has not been used or opened yet.

The lid is a cap that flips open and allows the gel to be squeezed out. I feel like having a squeeze bottle like this is a lot more hygienic than having a gel container where you have to dip your fingers in to get product! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

                                            ✰ What is This Product Meant For? ✰

This aloe vera gel is meant to sooth reddened, irritated, dry, or sensitive skin while providing lots of moisture and keeping the skin hydrated. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ This product is especially great since it's multi-use so it can be used on your face, body, and hair. It also helps for dry patches like on the knees or elbows. ♡ It's safe for those with sensitive skin to use, but be careful as always and try a test patch on your arm or hand first before using the product on your face! This gel claims to make the skin soft and moist without a sticky feeling. ⋆

                                                          ✰ How to Use ✰

This product can be used everyday on all skin types and can be spread onto the face, body, and hair. On dry spots or red spots (such as sunburns), squeeze out a small drop of the aloe vera gel and gently smooth onto the skin, then pat to absorb. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

Please take a look at it, since there might be something different you can try with your gel that you never thought of trying. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ My hair has been getting quite dry lately from using heating products, so I'll definitely apply more gel to the ends of my hair. ⋆


                                                          ✰ Ingredients ✰

This aloe vera gel contains 99% aloe vera leave juice and after doing more research on this gel, I found that it also excludes ingredients that are considered harmful to the skin's health! The ingredients not included are parabens, benzophenone, mineral oil, propylene glycol, BHT, animal ingredients, and artificial colors. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ Unfortunately, I couldn't find the list of ingredients of this gel on cosdna.com to check for the safely levels, but everything should be fairly safe since this gel consists of mainly extracts. ⋆


                                                          ✰ My Review ✰

This was a really nice aloe vera gel to use and I love how it made my skin feel so soft after applying it. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ There was a very fresh cucumber scent and the scent of the gel reminded me of the really nice smelling kid's shampoos that I used as a child! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ The scent of the gel wasn't too strong or overpowering and went away after applying it to your skin. I also tried using this on my hair and it seems to work really nicely. It doesn't leave my hair sticky and absorbs quickly! Whenever I pull my hair up, I have a lot of baby hair in the front that doesn't go down, so next time I'll try using this gel to see if it will help. ♡ When using this on my skin, I immediately felt it have a lot of softness and my skin just felt and looked really hydrated. I don't have red spots or irritated skin, so I wouldn't know if it works for that. 

When squeezing the gel out, I didn't think it would be that much, but even this size was enough to rub onto my elbows, knees, and hands. It doesn't take that much gel to use wherever you want to use it, so be careful when squeezing the bottle!

The gel can be spread around smoothly and glide across my hand easily! ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ

After patting the rest of the product into my skin, my hand looked very hydrated and didn't have any sticky feeling. It was long-lasting on my skin so I didn't have to keep reapplying the gel and it never made my skin feel dry! ♥ One thing I really love about this gel is that it's versatile and can be used on the face, body, and hair, so it's perfect for bringing along to any trips where you don't want to carry too much stuff. The shape of this gel also caught my attention because it's a unique shape and different than the usual round container for other skincare products. The shape makes this aloe vera gel look cute and fun to use! ⋆

Yes!! I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice aloe vera gel and is versatile to use on the face, body, and hands! This product might be similar to other aloe vera gels, but with this, you can have a cute aloe vera leaf sitting in your room as part of your beauty decor. ♥ This gel will also make your skin feeling soft and hydrated and additionally, it can be used on all skin types, including sensitive skin. ʕ •ᴥ• ʔ I would definitely repurchase this again once my current one runs out since the scent is very nostalgic and the price is really affordable. The large quantity in the bottle will make this gel last a long time too! ⋆
